Our story
The Celtic on Market was born from the passion and heritage of two founders—one from the historic town of Llandrindod Wells, Wales, and the other from the rugged coastlines of Galway, Ireland. Driven by a shared dream to bring the heart of Celtic culture to the States, they made the move to Denver in 2000 and opened the doors of the original Celtic Tavern.
After nearly two decades, we moved to our vibrant Market Street location, opening our doors on a memorable St. Paddy’s Day in 2017. Today, we continue our tradition of warm welcomes, good cheer, and genuine Irish spirit.

Our stunning upstairs bar, back bar, and the intricate stained glass behind them have traveled all the way from Ireland, bringing authentic Celtic atmosphere straight to Denver.

Greeting you at the entrance is a large boulder sourced from Wales' Preseli Mountains—the historic quarry that provided the famous stones of Stonehenge.
